Medium Roast

Medium roast coffee, also known as American roast, is a style of coffee roasting that falls between the light and dark roasts.

Color: Medium roast beans have a medium-brown color, and they rarely have an oily surface, unlike darker roasts.

Flavor: These beans balance acidity and body, allowing for a broader spectrum of flavors to emerge. The flavors are more balanced compared to light roast (which is more acidic and retains more of the original coffee's flavors) and dark roast (which is less acidic and has a stronger, more robust flavor). The coffee's flavor is generally described as more balanced and smooth.

Caffeine: Medium roast coffee has a slightly lower caffeine content than light roast but more than a dark roast. The roasting process reduces the amount of caffeine in the beans, so the longer the beans are roasted, the less caffeine they contain.

Chocolate, Earthy

Medium roasted coffee beautifully marries the unique traits of Indonesian Java Blue Sunda and Brazilian Arabica beans. The moderate roast level accentuates the earthy, full-bodied nature of the Java Blue, while enhancing the Brazilian Arabica's innate sweetness.
