Let's make brown sugar simple syrup together.

This makes enough to fill a pint sized mason jar to the rim.

Our family believes in trying new things, and because of that we often find ourselves humbled by the things we stumble across. Who knew something so tasty could come from two ingredients as common as brown sugar and good ol' H2O.

This simple syrup can be used as as sweetener with all of our coffees, in lattes, coldbrew, drip coffee, french press, and pour overs.

Gather your things

  • Medium Nonstick Saucepan

  • Silicon or Rubber Spatula

  • Stovetop or standalone burner

  • A jar to put the syrup in once it's cooled.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar

  • 1 Cup Water

  • 1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract(optional)

Time to make spiced coffee's most tasty companion

Set the medium nonstick pan over medium-low heat.

Add the water and sugar to the pan.

Heat until combined and a transparent golden color.

Allow the syrup to sit and cool completely. Hot sugar can be dangerous, you know.

Finally, pour your simple syrup into an airtight jar or container and store in the fridge for up to two weeks.
